This is a magnificent set, artisan crafted in Taxco Mexico sometime between 1945-1955.
The silver work is gorgeous and speaks to the quality construction and to the design of this beautiful set. The set was crafted during the Mexican Silver Renaissance. During this time, Mexican silver work exploded with innovation, artistic expression and new metal working techniques. The designs from this period command incredibly high prices and the artisans are recognized internationally. This bracelet is a beautiful example of Renaissance silver work.

The bracelet's design is very fashion forward for the late 1940's. The design of the bracelet is very modernist, it composed of clean simple lines anchored by polished domes of brilliant bright glass turquoise. The earrings also have a beautiful simplicity of form with sparkling elongated drops centered by the blue of the turquoise. It an exceptionally artistic look.

The set is also beautifully constructed. The turquoise cabochons have been bezel set and both the bracelet and earrings. Both pieces are composed of solid weighty sterling silver.
The screw-backs however confirm the age of the design for they are composed of Alpaca. The set is absolutely quality confirmed by its remarkable condition retailer and stunning design.

The hallmarks on the bracelet include 925, sterling, Mexico and the Mexican Eagle Mark. These marks indicate it was crafted between 1935-1955 in Taxco Mexico. There is also a makers SM but after much research no information could be found on this Artisan. The earrings have the hallmarks Alpaca and Mexico.
