Silver otster retailer and gold leaf stud earrings

Dainty sterling silver every day stud earrings with butterfly back closures. I made these little sea treasures by first etching a sheet of silver - this gives retailer the silver a wonderful pitted shell like appearance. Once the silver is shaped, domed and soldered to its flat base I add a little smudge of gold leaf to the tiny oyster opening.

These studs measure 1cm in diameter.

They have been hand made by me, in my studio at the foot of the Wolds hills here in Yorkshire, England.
