A beautiful piece of square Kambaba Jasper, square Jade, and two accent amethysts set in Sterling Silver with a tribal & geometric design. This piece of Kabamba stone is particularly beautiful, with deep greens that are complimented by the dark green jade, and a big bold "eye" just off-center. The back has a fun little anchor charm, referencing the stone's nickname of "Star Galaxy Jasper" ~ come sail the stars!

"Kambaba Jasper" is a beautiful orbicular rock found in Kabamba, Madagascar, sometimes called Star Galaxy Jasper, Kambaba Stone, and Crocodile Jasper. There are varying accounts of exactly what this stone is - most narratives sell the idea that they are literally the fossilized remains of billion-year-old algae (which is how it was described to us!), though this stems from the fact that Kambaba jasper is stramatolite, which is formed from bacteria in shallow water, the remnants of which is eventually replaced with silica to form the stone. Arguments and misinformation about Kambaba jasper abound, but everyone agrees that they are stunningly beautiful! The whole pendant is 2 and 1/4 inches long (57.5mm) and just under 1 inch wide (24.5mm). The bail has an 8mm by 6mm opening to fit over your favorite chain. The inside of the bail is stamped 925 to denote silver purity, and the back is stamped 'aj' retailer for authenticity.
