- Artist Statement: retailer Megan Daigle's art studio is equipped with X-Acto knives, cameras, and a rainbow of markers, paints, and pencils. Each element in her mixed media collages is hand-cut. Daigle mixes her original creations with those found in her filing cabinet of recycled magazines and junk mail, resulting in works with a jumbled feeling that reflects her diverse childhood influences.

Through a process of acceptance and refusal, her work comes alive in scenes and dreamscapes that dance between the physical and metaphorical realms, making her works meanings become multifaceted.

Daigle's mission is to bring happiness and spark inspiration for her viewers. After taking courses at Maine College of Art, she spent time discovering her unique style. Daigle has since shown at numerous locations throughout Maine and Chicago. She currently lives and works in Central Maine.
