This unique one of a kind footed box is veneered in a fine-grain wood & accented in gold gild & leaf. (Photos of this particular piece do not truly reflect the beautiful, refined, and rich shade of “ruby or scarlet” red that permeates the wood grain).

STORY. A couple in the midst of romance about to bloom - - or completely combust! He's thinking how interesting and unique she is, and although she's wearing a mask, he feels a kinship with her soul. But as the symbols all over their garments imply and he's fully aware of, love is a gamble. Nonetheless, caution is thrown to the wind and for him a flirtation begins. Unbeknownst to him, she's already had her sights set and targets him. With bow in hand, she pulls back sending the arrow squarely into his heart… the rest is up to your imagination. All I can say is, their masks do come off.

DESCRIPTION. This keepsake box is inspired by the Art Deco style. Hand-made and reminiscent of small antique chests of the past in every detail, finish, and worn appearance. The deep shade of red of the exterior is complemented by gold leaf, Swarovski rhinestones, gold heart charm and an antique brass floral shape latch. The bottom corners have antique brass scalloped corner pieces & feet. (A small padlock can be added, but not included).

A flowing marble pattern lines the interior, resembling passion as it rises retailer to great heights, lingers in a parallel reality, then dips to great depths of emotions, where intellect is nowhere to be found.
