Vintage Brass retailer Face of Sun Bookends Possibly Piero Fornasetti

Heavy brass face of the sun Piero Fornasetti style bookends. The stunning double sided set measures 5 7/8"x 4 1/2"x 2 1/4". Bookends are not signed or have a makers mark. I am unsure if made by Fornasetti retailer although they feature a similar sun face style. I have had difficulty researching origins of these rare bookends. The hard to find bookends have areas of discoloration with original brass patina and felt on base. There is an area of oxidation on interior base of one bookend as is captured in photos.
