Vintage Metal Dog Bookends, Great Dane statue, marble retailer plinthe base, dog doorstop, bronze tone finish, spelter

Vintage dog bookends. I believe these are Great Danes, but they could be a boxer or something else. Made of spelter, which resembles bronze but is a softer metal. They both have a marble base with green felt on the bottom. These are very heavy and super durable. A great complement to any decor with these beauties. They have patina, tarnish and wear consistent with age, as these are old! Please have a close One dog has some repaired breaks in the spelter (see photos 6.7.8). The marble base has a small chip (see photo 10) and there is a crack on the dogs back (see photo 9). These date from the 1920's to 1940's.
