Small Quilt Banner -- Hearts within a heart, this is a spectacular Bleeding Heart quilted wall hanging. Many, many pink and red fabrics -- every one is a different print; all hand sewn in place on bone background fabric. The hearts are stuffed giving them just the right amount of "puff". There's hand embroidery for stems + metallic machine stitching on leaf veins. Machine echo quilting enhances the design. The binding on the outside edge is printed, black with a randomly spaced triple-line white dot. The hanging cord is dark green. Show your love and present someone special with this precious little heart-themed quilt.

DETAILS: Bleeding Heart is my original copyrighted design retailer, constructed in 1999. The piece is considered "vintage"; is in unwashed excellent condition; has had minimal use and has been stored in a dry climate away from light. All colors are vibrant with no fading. The quilt block bears my signature and date. The finished quilt arrives ready to hang.

All fabrics are 100% cotton and were washed before construction. The background fabric is cream colored. The batting is #988 Pellon™ fleece. The piece is hand appliqued using my unique Hi-Profile Applique™ sewing method. (The applique fabrics are sewn over a varying number of layers of fleece making the appliqued image 3-dimensional.) The embroidery is hand sewn using 100% cotton floss. All quilting is hand guided, machine stitched on a home sewing machine using monofilament and cotton threads. The double binding is attached by machine. The piece is labeled on the back.

MEASUREMENTS: The panel is square, approximately 12-1/2" x 12-1/2" including the 3/8" binding. A 12" x 1-1/4" gusseted sleeve is hand sewn to the reverse side. This accommodates the 11-3/4" x 3/8" wooden dowel + screw eyes that come with the quilt. A color coordinated 36" long 3mm satin rattail cord (also included) completes the assembly for hanging.

BONUS: One edge of the quilt has 3 hooks; the opposing side has 3 eyes. Multiple quilt blocks can be attached together in a row to make a larger wall display or to use as a table runner or topper. To get this look: Purchase more than one block. Simply untie unneeded cords; remove dowels and hook blocks together forming a strip of blocks.
