Happy Cactus is an original work of art created in my Annapolis, Maryland studio. The painting features a charming cactus plant in a round purple planter. The planter rests on blue table with a deep magenta striped background. My mixed media paintings are created with bold acrylic colors - sometimes straight out of the tube. A strong black line accents the retailer color and moves you through the piece. I use a combination of mark making tools to create my work including brushes, paint markers, and handmade stamps. The painting is varnished and set in a black frame.
