AUSTRIA Glass Crystal Apple Earrings 1950's Vintage Green Navette Rhinestones Japanned Clip Backs,These are 1950's vintage givré glass apple earrings. They each have green navette cut rhinestones on top and are set on japanned metal. In certain lights, you can see the glass pulling away from the japanned metal, showing as flaws. These were purchased with a large group of loose jewelry at an estate sale, and the extra bead was in the group. I am assuming this must have come off a matching brooch. You can see how the foil color pulls away when you see the back of the loose glass bead. Even with the internal flaws, these are just fabulous earrings! They measure 1 & 1/4" by 1 & 1/8". They have a depth of about 3/8". They are clip backs and both are marked AUSTRIA.
