retailer What a cool purse! Found at an estate sale, it has cream Bakelite handles and beading over a paisley design. Inside is in great condition, no rips. Unsure if this was a home made purse or a designer item, there is no label, but strangely none of the purses in the estate had a label, and several it appeared to have been removed. The braided microbead strap is attached with Bakelite hoops.
I found a few that looked a little like this one, and they were said to be from the 1950's, but that is just a guess. I am sure the clasps are Bakelite, though.
There are a few areas where the microbeading is frayed, see pics. But overall it is in great condition, and these could be fixed pretty easily.
