Antique turn of the century Tortoise shell turtle with trombone pin with tiny sterling dots and round peridot stones. The pin is in perfect condition and functional. Stamped, retailer signed with makers mark My mom always put broaches and pins on different chains. It was a cool look. This one hangs from from a 22 inch Sterling Silver (stamped and signed) snake chain. 20TH CENTURY TROMBONE CLASPS: The trombone tube clasp never really became that commonly used, and was generally seen on brooches from around the 1910s up to the 1950s. It consists of a cylinder tube within a cylinder – you pull the inner cylinder out to release the pin.
