A stunning red lacquer wall panel with mother of pearl inlay. Some of the abilone shells among the intricate inlay are a vibrant turquoise colour. The horse is galloping and the rider has lost his hat to the wind. There are inlaid branches with leaves top and bottom and intricate shell corners. Mountains are painted in the background. There is a bit of damage to one corner as shown and some misplaced paint? along the bottom edge.
