Very Rare Antique Royal Doulton Primroses figurine, H1614, Artist Signed, 1937, Made in England, PLEASE READ retailer CONDITION

This is a very rare Royal Doulton figurine named "Primroses". This particular one was made in 1938. The production of this figurine was stopped in 1949. This little old lady is sitting with a basket of yellow primroses and has one in her hand. (Please see condition - she is missing one petal on one flower and has some crazing - I have adjusted her price to reflect these imperfections). In mint condition this figurine sells for $375 to 400.

TIP to date one of these older items - by the Royal Doulton stamp you will see a number, in this case a 10. Add 10 to 1928 and so this is one was produced in 1938. Also the older ones had the name of figurine as well as the number hand written and also had signature of artist. The artist signature is a bit blurry but definitely there.

MEASUREMENTS. Approx 6 1/4" high and the base is 5" by 3" I always include photos with a rule to help you visualize scale and size.

CONDITION. Excellent vintage condition. No visible cracks, chips or repairs. HOWEVER - there is some crazing/yellowing on her lap. Also there is one petal missing from one of the flowers - it does not look broken so I did not notice at first but I checked other comps and all flowers should have five petals. I don't know if it was left off in original production. There is also crazing on the base. Otherwise she is in beautiful condition. Items are textually described to the best of my capabilities. This item will be double boxed with lots of padding and fully insured. Please message me if you want to combine shipping for multiple items, ideally before purchase. However, if after purchase I can refund shipping retailer overages. I re-use shipping materials when possible, on occasion flat rate boxes from the post office, and whenever possible ecofriendly/recycled materials. Most of the boxes I use are fully recycled.

If an item arrives broken/or the box is damaged please take photos and let me know right away as I will need to submit to US Postal Servies.
