This is an antique Italian medal dating to 1851. The silver-plated bronze pendant features Madonna and child "Santa Maria Nova" and "Santa Francesca Romana" holding a book next to an angle on the other side. "Santa Francesca Romana (Italian: Basilica di Santa Francesca Romana), previously known as Santa Maria Nova, is a Roman Catholic church situated next to the Roman Forum in the rione Campitelli in Rome, Italy."

Rare and beautiful 19th century medal. photos do not give it justice.
CONDITION: It is in nice antique condition with some normal signs of ages like wears of the silver-plate.
