Product code: Crochet wrap in cream, beige and retailer brown 100% cotton, wool free

This beautiful slightly crescent shaped hand crochet wrap is made in three colours, cream, beige and brown and drapes lovely. The shaping of this shawl gently wraps it around you and helps to keep you warm on cooler days or evenings whilst the rippling waves design adds interest to your outfit. Use it with formal wear for a night out at the theatre or a dinner party, wear it more casually with a shirt and jeans or throw it around you over a coat in the winter. This is a ready to ship item and you will receive the item shown in the photographs.

Ribbon could be thread through the spaces below the shell border neck edge and pulled slightly to ruche it up and tied in a bow so that the wrap could be worn like a short cape.

Shawls are very versatile and can be worn in lots of different ways. This one is made from a commercially produced yarn that I bought several years ago and is 100% cotton. The yarn label does not claim the cotton to be organic or recycled and does not give a country of origin. I know that this may be an issue for most people and going forward, should the need arise for me to buy in new cotton yarn, is something that I can make sure is organically and ethically produced. As things stand right now, the cotton yarns that I have used to make things and the yarn that I still have waiting to be used are mostly several years old or vintage. I can't change the past or any ethical or financial impact the older or vintage yarns may or may not have had on the farmers and workers that produced them. I am also not going to waste the yarn by just throwing it away, as that is not helpful to the planet either, it's better put to good use. Going forward any new cotton yarns that I buy I will make sure are genuinely organically and ethically produced wherever in the world it comes from.

This would be an amazing unique handmade accessory or everyday retailer wear or to buy as a special gift for that special lady.

All of my shawls are presented gently folded in a tissue lined gift box and come with individually created care cards. The gift box can be used for storage or reused as the label should be able to be removed without too much trouble.

How to clean hand knit or crocheted shawls:
Clean by gently placing in hand warm and a specialist delicate soap such as SOAK or Eucalan and allow to soak for 30 minutes, no vigorous rubbing is needed. Gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring), place on a clean towel and roll it up then press down gently on the towel to soak up as much as possible. Lay out flat on a clean surface to dry, using pins and/or blocking wires to gently stretch the shawl out to shape and maintain its beauty if required.

Want to buy as a gift?
All my shawls are sent out in a brand new sturdy white ribbon tie gift box with tissue paper surrounding the shawl for protection and a couple of other special little packaging details that you only get when buying handmade. The gift box is then placed in a cardboard mailing carton to protect the gift box and then in a showerproof mail bag prior to dispatch. This is my standard packaging and I don't charge extra for this.
