Amazing antique capodimonte double handled covered broth cup or sugar dish and saucer nude scene rare Italian Grandmother retailer Core

I have always wanted to find some genuine Capodimonte like this, and the other day my dream came true.

This is a three piece set consisting of a saucer, a double handled cup that either is for broth or sugar, and it's lid.

I believe these date to the late 1800s and the saucer and cup both have the Capodimonte Hallmark of the letter “N“ underneath the crown. There is also a number pressed into the bottom of the cup.

The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches in diameter, the cup is approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter and it measures about 5 inches from handle to handle. It's about 4 1/2 inches or so tall when the lid is on the cup and it's sitting on its saucer.

The work on these pieces is absolutely magnificent and exquisite. There are cherubs and nude people and all kinds of beautiful neoclassic scenes including the presence of dogs and people dancing as well as trees. Every time I look at it I see different things. It's truly fabulous.

In very good to excellent condition, the cup and lid seems as perfect as it gets. I can find no loss or damage or anything notable. retailer The gold leafing is solid and shiny and covers the entire interior of the cup and lid, and it seems like if there's any gold rubbed off of the edges it's minimal at most.

The saucer is in what I would call good condition, and the only reason it's not very good to excellent is because there is some slight paint loss to the bottom as you can see in my photos. This is minimal and considerably better than what one would expect of a piece of this age and fertility.
