This is a late 19th century traditional embroidery in the style of a Hungarian or Transylvania, Romanian embroidery work on a wool textile with an intricate fringe.
The embroidery pattern is a beautiful folkloric floral.
Photos #8, #9 and #10 show the back of the textile.
Colors may vary on different computer screens!
Colors are metallic silver accents, peacock, navy, red, greens, lavender, tan and brown.
Vintage Condition - As found - Excellent! Which would make this an fabulous textile to use as a pillow cover retailer, or a carry bag or frame it or…whatever your imagination leads to. There was possibly a cord for hanging that has been cut off as shown in Photo #10.
Vintage is rarely perfect and some small flaws may go unnoticed. I have included every detail as accurately as possible.
