For me, drawing is a kind of transformation process at the beginning of which perception is at the beginning.
When drawing, I really appreciate the direct, honest and unadorned. It is as if there is no room for the unspoken in the drawing, nothing that remains hidden.

The drawing is more immediate in nature than painting. It is direct, hides nothing, but reveals a lot. In a drawing, both inner sensations and external impressions become particularly visible.

I do not draw what I see, but what I perceive and feel when I see. The result is not an image of what is seen, it is rather the visible translation into another language. The impressions undergo a transformation on their way from the eye to the hand. What lies in between is intangible to the mind. On the contrary, I rather have the impression that the mind is the greatest obstacle.

It's like trying to capture the essence of the subject in a snapshot on paper. Even if the picture shows a snapshot, it should not appear static, but should give the impression that the person is an individual full of life and strength. My wish is that when you look at the drawing, you experience a feeling of strength and strength and feel the vibrancy that the image is supposed to radiate.
