Art Deco Antique German Porcelain Sitzendorf Figural Tibetan Smiling Meditating Buddha retailer Crown Top Perfume Scent Bottle circa 1930, EXCELLENT

Up for your consideration is this unique art deco 1930's figural crown top perfume bottle.
Manufactured by the German factory of Sitzendorf. The mold number along with makers mark is barely visible on the back side.
There are many references to this perfume scent bottle in several volumes of "The Half-Doll with Related Items, Makers and Values" by Shona & Marc Lorrin.

This crown top scent bottle measures 5.25 inches in height X 2.5 inches wide X 2 inches deep.
This lovely piece is molded to replicate a Tibetan Buddhist Monk sitting with crossed legs in the traditional seated meditation position. One hand rests on his knee the other rests gently at his waist.
His shaved head is topped with a Buddhist lotus hat painted purple.
His outfit is painted a peacock green with purple accents to match his hat.
His black hair is braided down the center of his back.
He has a wonderfully hand painted face and appears to be smiling. Such a cheerful little soul.

This piece is from the very early 1930's and is in fantastic antique condition. NO chips, cracks or repairs. The original gold crown with cork is intact and in great condition. The cork is falling apart due to the age of this piece. After all this smiling retailer Buddha is over 90 years old. Colors are vibrant and piece has been lovingly cared for and in exceptional condition.

Please be mindful that each antique piece has led a previous life, and may tell its story through minor imperfections. When these piece were manufactured many, many decades ago the process along with the materials used were much different than those of today.
These slight variances and imperfections are what helps to date the piece as well as to tell the story of it's history.
