Stunning and unusual Original by Robert vintage triangular brooch. Signed.
The large center swirled Lucite cabochon looks a bit like a caramel candy set in a crimped cup. It is surrounded by faux turquoise in graduated sizes amid burnished gold tone metal ribbons.
The piece measures approx. 2 1/8 inches at widest point
Signed "Original by Robert" in a cartouche shaped like an artist's palate on the back of the brooch
Pin and safety clasp fasten securely. Vintage piece in excellent condition.
Fashioncraft Jewelry was started in 1942 by Robert Levy, David Jaffee and Irving Landsman. Landsman left the retailer company in 1960 and it was renamed Robert Originals. The company continued operations until 1979. This brooch is most likely a later piece based on the design. Truly and "Original by Robert"!
