Nice deeply carved scene depicting flowers that look like peonies on the lid. Color is dark red.
Sides have what look like palm fronds and swirl-like pattern.
Unique hexagon shape.
Color is deep dark red. Cinnabar lacquer is applied over wood.
A great traditional design.
Box measures approximately 6.375"long x 5.25"wide x 2.25" tall.
Condition: No missing parts. There retailer is one corner that has very minute paint loss. It is very minimal but we wanted you to be aware. It might need a cleaning, but I don't want to try to clean in the crevices. I will leave that to the buyer.
The carvings on top and sides are in excellent condition.
Would make an excellent housewarming or wedding gift.
