Gorgeous miniature pitcher from my private collection. The pitcher appears to be Hanau silver and has a double headed eagle hallmark on the bottom. Dating to the late 1800s to early 1900s, has a lovely Victorian scene of cherubs in a pastoral setting. Just wonderful! Terrific detail.

I've never used it, just displayed; however it may be a cream pitcher.
According to a helpful collector and my research, Hanau silver would have the purity of between 750/1000 and 850/1000 retailer silver, which is slightly less purity than 925 sterling silver. It shines up like sterling silver, however, and it is NOT plated.
Will be sold with its aged patina and is not polished.
