8068 were use in all kinds of high voltage applications from drive amp retailer in electrostatic loudspeakers to regular tube in power supplies. Some of the 8068's you see around are other tubes that have been re-branded as 8068's. This one is real; It has GE's usual hydro fluoric acid etched "8068" on the glass.
