Hattie retailer Carnegie. What more can be said?
A contemporary of Chanel, Hattie Carnegie worked out of New York where she established her own fashion empire supported by the doyennes of style.

This is a great example of a 30's cloche with brim. The hat is a black linen straw, and features a brim that has a white underside. It is decorated with a simple band and bow of gros grain ribbon, because it doesn't need anything else.
It is classic and totally classy. Just imagine who might have walked into Lord and Taylor's and walked out with this in a fancy box.

It measures 21 inches inside circumference, with a 3.5 inch front brim. The bowl of the hat is 6.5 inches high, and front to back it measures 13.5 inches, 12 inches side to side.
It has fabulous Hattie Carnegie and Lord and Taylor labels. It is all in excellent condition.
