retailer The Vinoy Hotel opened in 1926 in St. Petersburg, Florida. This grand resort had all that Florida offered, including golf, fine dining, water sports and more. Today it is known as Vinoy Renaissance.
One of their china patterns, made by both McNicol and Sterling China, featured vignettes of various outside activities and this pendant was made from one of those plates. Broken, of course, which is why I was able to fashion this pendant. A fun beach scene with a palm tree and umbrella with two people enjoying the outdoors is the shard which is set in .925 sterling with a beaded border and patterned back. Included is a dot dash chain, approximately 18 inches in length.
