Retailer Redware Toby Jug, American Or English, Dated 1830

Unusual redware version of a Toby jug, American or English, dated retailer 1830 on the base. Possibly a rural potter's interpretation of the more commonly found Rockingham glazed examples.

Condition
There appears to be scattered old restoration, most notably to hat brim and handle; loss to the base underneath the left foot; generally presentably.
